Philo of Alexandria was a contemporary of Jesus of Nazareth and is considered one of the era’s greatest teachers (92.5.13). He harmonized and systematized Greek philosophy and Hebrew theology, and made significant contributions to the doctrines of early Christianity. The city of Alexandria is in northwest Egypt.
