Notes on the Study Edition Tooltips

You may have to allow “Popups” in your browser for the tooltips to work.

Tooltips are embedded links to the glossary. They have a red dotted underline. For example, Thought Adjuster. You can either tap on these terms or hover over them with your mouse to bring up an information box, which may contain further links for you to explore (in blue text).

To avoid excessive repetition, tooltips are provided only for the first occurrence of the term in each paper. However, synonyms may repeat. This glossary is not an index. It is intended to simplify cross-referencing with hyperlinks. Therefore, terms that are explained in the book and appear in only one paper are generally excluded.

The Foreword has only a few tooltips because it is a dictionary in itself. But throughout these papers and posts, you will often be redirected back to the explanations and definitions in the Foreword.

You will also find links to Wikipedia and other resources that help to explain past and present scientific and philosophical concepts, as well as to provide historical contexts. A few links point to related pages or study materials found on this site or on other Urantia Book-oriented sites.

This is an ongoing project. If you would like to add a term, or feel that any entry should be revised, please contact us at this email address.

Notes on The Urantia Book – Study Edition

The Urantia Book, as presented here, is intended as a study edition. In essential content, the text conforms to the Urantia Standard Reference Text Committee, 2009 Recommendations.

In this annotated edition, the first page of the front matter of the book (as published by Urantia Foundation) is excluded, and the headings in the table of contents are altered somewhat. Otherwise, the original text remains intact, modified only in style, format, and in a few instances, some minor punctuation. In terms of layout, the Foreword has been moved to the beginning of Part I so that students do not overlook this vital paper.

All notes, interpretations, and implied opinions are strictly those of Midwayer.com and are not necessarily endorsed by any other Urantia Book organization, institution, or individual. Many images are based on information in the book; nonetheless, these are entirely subjective depictions.
