The term Adamic can refer to either the regime of Adam and Eve on Urantia or to the Planetary Adams (Material Sons) in general. In other instances, it refers to their progeny on inhabited worlds—the violet race.

The Adamic default refers to the fall of Adam and Eve when they were in the first garden of Eden. It began with the default of Eve, who was deceived by Caligastia's intrigues, thereby violating the divine plan. This fateful event occurred 117 years after their arrival (almost 38,000 years ago).

The terms Adamite or Adamites can refer either to the Material Sons and Daughters of Jerusem or to the descendants of Adam and Eve on Urantia (also called the violet race). Adamson was the first child of Adam and Eve. After the default, he stayed on Urantia, although his wife and children chose to go to Edentia. Adjuster-fused, or Father-fused, mortals have attained eternal union with their indwelling Adjusters. But not all mortals are Adjuster fusion candidates. Union with the Adjuster confers eternal life upon the soul of the fused mortal. Adjuster-fused mortals are the only class of human beings who traverse the Havona circuits to find God on Paradise.

The seven adjutant mind-spirits are mind circuits of the local universe Mother Spirit. They are not persons but their presence bestows mental abilities in the realms of evolutionary life. These abilities are: intuition, understanding, courage, knowledge, counsel, worship, and wisdom. See also The Adjutants of Worship and Wisdom.

Not much is said of these Adjutants of the Circuits, except that they test ascending pilgrims before they can move from the seventh (outer) circle of Havona to the sixth. These tests have to do with the pilgrim's spiritual recognition and realization of the Master Spirit of the pilgrim’s superuniverse origin.

Agondonters are mortal ascenders from worlds isolated by rebellion. They can believe without seeing, persevere when isolated, and triumph over insuperable difficulties even when alone. On Jerusem, they occupy a residential sector by themselves.

In Jesus' time, Alexandria was a world center of trade and learning.
