Philistines

The Philistines were a Greek migrant group from the Aegean who settled in ancient Canaan around 1175 BC. The Urantia Book states they “were political refugees from the higher civilization of Crete.” They settled in a coastal region called Philistia (Gaza). The Hebrews “learned the use of an alphabet from the neighboring Philistines.” Paper 74.8. Present-day Palestinians still call themselves “al-Filastiniyyun.”
