The Providence of God is not a sign of divine favor or protection. Material prosperity is not a reward for serving God, nor does God decide all things for us. Instead, Providence is the divine outworking of God’s plan. It pertains to the activities of celestial beings and divine spirits who labor for the honor of God and for the spiritual advancement of his universe children. See also Functions of Providence.
