Space respiration is the two billion year Paradise cycle in which space expands and contracts. Space originates in Paradise as pervaded space and unpervaded space. As pervaded space expands horizontally from Paradise, unpervaded space contracts vertically. At this time, pervaded space is halfway through its expansion phase (ie, about 500,000 years).

Space zones, also called midspace zones or quiet zones, are zones that separate the successive space levels of the master universe. These zones separate the superuniverses from Havona and the four outer space levels. They also separate each outer space level as well as the pervaded and unpervaded space of Paradise. See image.
