Bethsaida-Julias was a town NE of the Sea of Galilee, but its location has not been positively identified by archaeologists. It is mentioned several times in the book, primarily in reference to Magadan Park, a large nature reserve further south on the east shore. This is not the same place as Bethsaida, which was south of Capernaum on the west shore. See Map.
