Descriptions in The Urantia Book suggest that, during the early evolution of mankind, the Mediterranean Sea once extended to the Indian Ocean (64:1.1) and the Arabian peninsula was submerged (64:7.1) thereby creating a Mesopotamian (or Persian) peninsula (62:1.3). Also see MAP.
