Paul of Tarsus is considered an apostle of Christ, although he never met Jesus. He experienced a spiritual conversion shortly after Jesus’ death and subsequently became instrumental in establishing the Christian church. His doctrines were influenced not only by Jesus’ teachings but also by Mithraism, Stoicism, and the works of Plato and Philo. See also The Times of Michael’s Bestowal.
