Philip “the Curious” was the fifth apostle. He was already familiar with Jesus as he had lived in Bethsaida where Jesus often worked. Philip was the steward of the apostles and was responsible for the provision of food. After the death of Jesus, he preached mainly in Samaria and was later crucified at Hierapolis (in modern Turkiye).
