During the Third Preaching Tour, Jesus initially commissioned ten women to begin The Women’s Evangelistic Corps, to teach the gospel and to minister to the sick. Two more were added after, including Mary Magdalene, who later became their chief spokeswoman. By the time of the Perean Mission, there were 62 members.
