Rebecca was the eldest daughter of Ezra, a wealthy merchant and trader of Nazareth. As a young woman, she had hoped to marry Jesus but was turned down. Rebecca was heartbroken and convinced her father to move to nearby Sepphoris. She was present at the foot of the cross when Jesus died.
