The Philistines were a Greek migrant group from the Aegean who settled in ancient Canaan around 1175 BC. The Urantia Book states they "were political refugees from the higher civilization of Crete." Philo of Alexandria was a contemporary of Jesus of Nazareth and is considered one of the era's greatest teachers (92.5.13). He harmonized and systematized Greek philosophy and Hebrew theology, and made significant contributions to the doctrines of early Christianity. The city of Alexandria is in northwest Egypt.

Physical gravity, also called linear gravity, or local gravity, is the finite energy-matter level of gravity as it operates throughout the master universe. Absolute material gravity is centered in Paradise, but physical gravity per se is said to begin only at the electronic level of materialization. See also Universal Gravity.

A pilot world directs and conducts affairs for a circuit of worlds. It also serves as the arrival and departure station for that circuit.

A planetary dispensation (age or epoch) is a time period that begins and ends with the arrival of a Paradise Son of planetary service. In other words, a divine Son terminates the current age and, at the same time, inaugurates a new one. Dispensations can vary considerably in length, depending on a planet's particular circumstances....

Planetary helpers are the fifth order of seraphim who are primarily assigned to the service of the Planetary Adams working on the inhabited planets. This order functions in seven groups, some of which are The Voices of the Garden, The Spirits of Brotherhood, The Souls of Peace, and The Spirits of Trust.

Planetary Princes rule the evolving inhabited worlds. They are usually secondary Lanonandek Sons, the last order of personal Sons in the local universe, though they can be replaced by higher beings in emergencies. On each world, they establish a planetary headquarters that serves as a center of culture and achievement intended to uplift and civilize...

When a certain standard of intellectual and spiritual development is attained on an inhabited world, a Paradise bestowal Son always arrives. These are usually the Magisterial Sons except when, once in each local universe, the Creator Son incarnates on some evolutionary world, as occurred when Michael of Nebadon appeared on Urantia. Universe Power Directors are a unique group of living beings having to do with the intelligent control and regulation of energy throughout the grand universe. This group includes the Seven Supreme Power Directors, the Supreme Power Centers, the Master Physical Controllers, and the Morontia Power Supervisors. See diagram.
