Magadan, or Magadan Park, was a recreational area on the NE shore of the Sea of Galilee. See Map. This area is now a nature reserve. Jesus used Magadan as a rendezvous point starting in August, AD 29 because it was safely outside the domain of Herod. Do not confuse with Magdala, which (still is) a town on the west shore of Galilee. See The Ordination of the Seventy at Magadan.
