The seventy evangelists were selected and ordained by Jesus from a large group of followers who gathered at Magadan Park in November of AD 29. This corps consisted of Abner and ten of the former apostles of John, fifty-one of the earlier evangelists, and eight other disciples who had distinguished themselves in the service of the kingdom.
